Multi Layer Blown Film
DESCRIPTION
Multilayer blown film involves the co-extrusion of multiple layers of polymer resins to create a single, composite film. Each layer can have distinct properties, such as barrier characteristics, strength, or optical properties. This technology opens up a realm of possibilities, allowing manufacturers to tailor films for specific applications with precision.
Different layers can be composed of various polymers, each contributing specific attributes to the final film. This versatility allows for the creation of films with a combination of properties such as strength, flexibility, barrier performance, and heat resistance.
7/5 LAYER BARRIER
The development of barrier films has been driven by the expanding demands of the packaging industry. This has resulted in the adoption of both symmetrical and asymmetrical complicated structures, as well as the advent of EVOH and early, basic PA/PE structures.
Modern Cylindrical Spiral Die is installed on a 7-layer blown film line. Short polymer flow passageways minimize dwell time, which is very advantageous when working with heat-sensitive materials since it slows down polymer degradation and expedites material changeover.
Blown film lines with seven layers that are tailored to the type of film to be made. Advanced automation features such as automated thickness control (using a non-contact capacitive sensor), gravimetric mixing and dosing, extrusion control, non-contact type IBC system, and a fully automatic surface winder that can be tailored to various applications are available for 7-layer blown film lines. It is user-friendly since it has integrated touch screen-based supervisory process control.

5 Layer POD lines are tailored for various application segments such as collation shrink films, lamination grade films, milk and water pouches, edible oils, courier bags, and many more. To meet specific needs, an all-PE 5-layer co-extruded blown film line benefitted with down gauging, lower cost of final film, and adaptability across applications enhancing the ROI still further.
